We had such a successful Comic Con Africa 2022 in Johannesburg that we couldn’t resist going to our own hometown Comic Con coming up in April 2023! As locals in Cape Town, we know that this year’s Comic-Con Cape Town 2023 is going to be an unforgettable experience. Due to COVID-19, Comic-Con Cape Town had to take a break to comply with the South African rules set for COVID-19, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to head over to Cape Town’s Comic Con since covid.
Just to recap on Comic-Con Cape Town 2023, for those unaware it will be held in our wonderful CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) boasting 140 855m2 featuring all your favourite gamers, local artists, Funko POP! distributors, pop culture, comic book artists and so much more. Cape Town Comic-Con 2023 will commence from the 27th of April to the 30th of April 2023.

What can you expect at Comic Con Cape Town 2023?
Firstly, and probably the most exciting for many is the announcement of celebrities that are attending, so far, it’s been released that Tati Gabrielle and Ross Marquand will be attending. However, more information about celebrities attending the comic gets released the closer we get to Comic-Con Cape Town.
Secondly, there will be VS gaming for those gamers who love to play with others, this is for you. Imagine having the best game of your life at one of the best gaming conventions to happen. Well, at Comic-Con Cape Town there will be a Gamer Island which includes the latest in gaming technology, from consoles, PCs, and virtual reality systems. As visitors, you can try out the latest and greatest video games, or participate in tournaments and competitions with other gamers. The island also features a variety of gaming–related merchandise, such as apparel, accessories, collectables and much more.
Thirdly, for all our die-hard cosplayers out there, FanCon will be loud and proud ready to boast the best dressed. So, get your cosplay costumes out and make sure you are the best dressed, lots of prizes are to be won for finalists!
Fourthly, and this one is for all our local animation artists, this Comic-Con will feature Cape Town International Animation Festival as a part of Comic-Con Cape Town 2023! lots of prizes are to be won if your short-story or animated video comes in the first place!
